Hanwell away

Hoping for continued improvement after a battling and well earned point at Chesham on Saturday. Kandolo I imagine will be out but perhaps we get Bloom, Biler and Ikebuasi back. That would be a boost. Preddie could slot in. Keep two uptop I hope and see if we can get 3 points

Our poorest non losing performance of the season.
Not good to watch at all, but it's a point won.

Dick Turpinesque performance.
We literally robbed a point tonight.
Scored after 15 mins and then completely stopped playing.
Lost 90% of 50/50 balls for the rest of the game and gave Hanwell so much time and space.
If we'd lost 3-1 nobody could have complained.
Sluggish all over the field. Not sure why the performance level plummeted from Chesham.
Two home games coming up now and there won't be many points taken if they play like that again.

We really could have done with a win tonight. Hanwell were on poor form and I don't think they had scored or got a point in their previous four games. Swindon with a late comeback against Hendon helps. Starting to worry about North Leigh, who are the form team out of all of the relegation contenders.
Yate are playing Hartley Wintney on Saturday so at least one team below us is guaranteed points. Merthyr aren't on good form so we really need a win from that one.
We are now the lowest scorers in the division after North Leigh's four goals tonight.

I don't understand our wild fluctuations in form from one week to the other.
Clearly something is not right with the team for that to happen ( yes I appreciate we've had a bad injury list etc ) but so do other teams.
We really need four points I reckon out of the next two home games. Three points minimum.
If we don't get that I can't see us getting out of it .

I think it’s partly to do with how young the team is across the pitch. It means we lack consistency. Our goalie is 18? Full backs are in the 18-21 age bracket including the backups. Hart is 16. Leonard and Noel Williams are both 20ish? Brosnan and Allotey are not much older and we have 18 year old upfront from Wimbledon. The only consistent experienced players are Preddie, Ezra and George. Everyone else whilst good players, are still young and inexperienced. I get the feeling that this team in 2 or 3 years time would be really strong especially with another older head added. However, we all know that the turnover of players at this level is pretty high so a pipe dream that they will still be together. Let’s Hope we can survive and add a few more experienced players to help the youngsters next season and we could push on.

Yeah, fair point Harrowred. I'd forgotten just how young a lot of our players are.
Fingers crossed the Boro team that ran Halifax so close (I see that lot up the road got stuffed 5-0 by them last night !) and beat Beaconsfield and did so well at Salisbury turn up on Saturday and not the other.
