New Manager

Anyone know when it’s going to be announced? Perhaps we are waiting for a manager involved in some relegation/promotion matches or who had their league extended because of a backlog of games and don’t want it announced until the end of season

Is it right that Harrow will not be relegated? I have been told this but cannot find any confirmation.

Only thing I can think it might be, after a search on the non league forums, is that if Winchester City fail their ground grading, there would be an in-division reprieve. That would go to us. However, also from reading that, it looks as though Winchester may be planning a ground share or have an alternative plan in place to make sure they pass. I wouldn’t get too excited about it.

Thought so - whilst they apparently install a 4G pitch and update ground. I take it this is a way around not meeting ground grading by deadline?

No idea who the candidates are/were but Lee Bircham recently joined Bedford who dropped from step 3 to 4. Thought he might be a candidate. Perhaps Meakin is in with a shout. Jordan Berry who I mentioned before has resigned from Egham Town and they announced it’s because he’s got a new job. I think we will hear very soon.

The Southern League twitter account is full of player and manager movements the last few days.
Met Police manager has stepped down and they have asked to move back to the Isthmian league.
It's going to be very interesting looking at the new league line ups at step 3 and 4.

They'll need a warrant to get back into the Isthmian.
Plenty of Isthmian-ish teams arriving at Level 3.
With Suffolk no longer Isthmian territory, Sudbury presumably go to the Southern League Midland division.
W&H go to the SSW.
The others - Dulwich, Concord & Cheshunt coming down; Chatham, Whitehawk & Hashtag (who play in Sarf Essix) coming up - fit fairly well.
Edit: Spellchecker "corrected" Them Faaackin' 'Awks, who are playing well, to "Whitehall"... Which hopefully is not an omen for a "Right On!" regime after the next general election.

If Boro escape relegation on a technicality again, we should change our name to Houdini Boro.
Can't see a reprieve though.
Awaiting the white smoke to rise above Earlsmead.
