Nice little article with some quotes from JB in today's NLP
'it took us by surprise (reprieve). Saying that, when I first heard about it I was pleased. It will be more of a challenge'
On how player recruitment has changed due to the reprieve..
'In terms of personnel, it has changed - but nothing has changed in the qualities we want. The principles are still the same. We need players with the right mentality. Ready to work and roll their sleeves up. There's a lot of work to do to get the right characters in '
Very impressed with everything I've seen and heard from him so far.
The club is really behind him.
Hopefully we can advertise season tickets on social media. £7.60 a game for adults and £2.80 for young adults is unbelievably good value.
There are lots of fans of pro clubs who are priced out of watching Premier league games who could be tempted.
Would be a good idea to throw some attention on the club this Thursday when the Alan Carr show that was filmed at Boro makes it's debut on ITVX.
Send a couple of tweets out with pictures of the ground and match action, tagging in Alan Carr #chattyman .and #changingends #harrow #itvx #harrowboro #He has 700k followers on twitter.
Scatter some seeds and see what happens.

Kudos to the club for putting a tweet up highlighting the ground being used for 'changing ends'
The tweet has been viewed over 3000 times is a little over 12 hours.
That's a great scattering of seeds.
Amusing comment from someone on the itvx tweet about the show yesterday morning.
'I was a Northampton fan in the 80s and the ground was never that rubbish' 😂
They're off the Christmas card list for certain

A Northampton fan worrying about how their ground is portrayed. Their team in Changing ends is bring portrayed as being bottom, when in fact they were top half & promoted the next season while Carr senior was manager!

(NB. Three sided football grounds adjoined to a cricket pitch are in short supply).

Clare is going to create some graphics for pre season fixtures , player signings and season tickets. James and Danny will circulate on social media.

Good to hear.
The club needs to be more visible to the outside world.
I spent time with friends who live in Rayners Lane over the weekend. Their 2 teenage children had never heard of Boro and had no idea that the ground was a 15 minute walk from where they've lived all their lives.

So isn't that a parent thing? Not a Boro thing.I get the club needs to expand its fan base, but that starts at home.

My parents didn't tell me about Boro. My dad took me to Loftus Road - I'm often wonder if I should have given Esther Rantzen a call for that.
I first came to Earlsmead because a mate used to come when we were 18.
As a kid the football knowledge was gained from watching Brian Moore on a Sunday afternoon and from swapping stickers in the playground.
Leaping forward 40 years from my sticker swapping days and today's youngsters have their heads buried in a phone and a tablet from early on.
A hugely visible social media presence along with the already great work that James does with local schools is where we'd find potential new fans.
