Vs Hayes & Yeading

Well, we didn’t lose. But a draw was all we deserved tbh. When the Hayes goalkeeper passed to Theo in the last couple of minutes I thought here’s three points but, having done everything else right his well struck shot was a yard over the bar. I least I thought it was Theo. As usual I couldn’t hear the substitute names from behind the dugout.

A decent crowd but a few familiar faces missing. I hope they are on a winter break and will be back. And Hayes is pretty local. Their team seemed much changed and much weaker. Unless both teams change they will be playing one another at Step 4.

Btw I see Jayden has been released. Does anyone know if Prince Kandolo is still around. If so he is the only player link with 2022-23.

It was Ofori and he should have scored to get us 3 points. Could have been a season changing moment. We didn’t look too bad today. Gurteen is a nice addition but we still lack firepower. Hale returning will be good news. Hayes were assured on the ball but had little end product. Their manager was visibly agitated towards the end. Very surprising they are down there. I think in terms of local games/crowd, if they came down with us then great. But they’d probably be more likely to go up than us if we both went down in what will be a very competitive division.

Two very poor teams..
Neither keeper made a proper save.

Boro allow the opposition to bring the ball to the half line without any pressure over & over again.

Too many of our players are simply not good enough for this league.

I agree there’s a few that are not quite there in terms of knowledge & ability at this level.
But, as an avid watcher of non league football for years I must say that judging from my 1st couple of visits to HBFC…the players do look as though they have a bit of fight.

Most notably the 2 or 3 of the defenders & the wide men.

Notice on website that half the players have left...assume they were the ones with no desire?

Who are the new lads?
Are they the defenders & wide men?
