Next Season

Relegation for the Borough is virtually certain now, although the possibility of a reprieve remains due to other clubs opting for voluntary relegation to secure lower running costs or, sadly, going out of business completely.
Assuming funding for next season is going to be available, would Borough fans prefer a reprieve - or relegation ?
If it's to be relegation, and the Club can continue, would a transfer to Isthmian South Central Div 1 be preferred ?
It seems to me Isthmian South-Central would give the Club a better chance of re-building, with much reduced travelling (and player?) costs & marginally more attractive 'local' games than those offered by Southern Central Div 1. Many players would find the reduced travelling time suits them better too, apart from a potential trip to Guernsey !
Let's hope reduced cost budgets can help towards financial viability.
What do Borough supporters hope for next season ?

We would definitely be in the Isthmian. Last year I came around to the idea of many more local games and perhaps Boro finding themselves in the top half come this time of year. That was put on hold a year. It was always going to be hard for us to stay up with a budget set for Step 4. I feel like the team has found its feet a little more so in the last 12 games. The 11 looks pretty settled and I would be confident it would be a good step 4 team, however, at this level, players move so freely we would probably be looking at a whole new side. Maybe JB would be able to keep Tobin, Mirtahmasebi, Yorke, Seabrook, Gurteen, Ibrahim, Tutton, Talla and Muhemba because they all came from lower leagues anyway. Who knows.
I do think that this team should have more points than it does, mostly because its a team lacking experience and know how at this level. But you look at the points we have lost in injury time this season. 3 v Totton, 1 v Hanwell, 2 v Salisbury, 2 v Walton. Add that in to the games we were ahead against Didcot twice and Swindon. We could be 14 points better off and probably should be at least 7 points better off. That would have us up to 40 points and well in the mix to stay up.

If we are relegated, unless there is a complete reorganisation of step 4 , we will be in the Isthmian South Central. We fit into that geographical area.

If - because its not confirmed yet. It would be a ridiculous turn around now IF we stayed up.

Beaconsfield, Hanwell and Hayes & Yeading could all in the same boat with Harrow Borough.
The west side of London's non-league teams seem to be facing the similar problem of reduced revenue from lower gates and poor results - is it all down to demographics ? I don't believe that.
They won't all end up in Isthmian South-Central.

The biggest problem is the travel expenses in this league.
It has already killed Walton Casuals & Staines Town. Met Police threw in the towel. Whilst all remaining clubs inside the M25 are struggling.
Changes are needed.
