Not a classic, but a solid performance & a welcome 3 points.
Kai & Javon returning after injuries is big plus ahead of the festive fixtures.

Yes a welcome 3 points. Rather surprised though that Kegan Bloom did not start in this match. Has been one of our best players recently and has a habit of getting into scoring positions. New goalkeeper compliments our tall defenders and looked sound - along with a clean sheet. Looking forward to the forthcoming matches over the festive period.

Was this the worst game at Earlsmead for a few seasons, albeit with a happy result ? Or is it just me ?

Micky Gee, not sure how often you attend games at Earlsmead.
Whilst it wasn't a classic, it certainly wasn't the worst game this season. It was better than almost every game last season!

I was only writing about last Saturday's game.

I agree,,the result was better than most games last season but, until the unavailable players return, the skill levels of many of the players on both sides on Saturday in terms of passing accuracy, ball control and retention, man marking, creating space, creating chances and shooting seemed to me to be clearly lower than the levels of one division higher.
Maybe that's obvious and just to be expected.
Nonetheless, we couldn't fault the effort the team put into the game. Jethro and several others didn't stop running

I still believe the Borough can certainly make it into the play-offs, thus sustaining interest through to the end of the season but maybe half of the teams in this division would be more competitive a division lower.
