Money 3 Boro 2

A disappointing performance and result from Boro despite two excellent goals from Jordan and Mack.
How Boro went in at the HT level is anybody's guess, answers on a postcard to Moneyfields should have been three or four goals in the lead and game over by then.
I thought a definite improvement second half with Harrow moving the ball quicker (but perhaps still not quick enough) but what really did us in were two "give away goals" . Poor defending for the Moneyfields second and their first , just ridiculous. Their third was a well worked goal.
Moneyfields players and bench very vociferous while our players and bench to me very quiet , the seasons definitely drifted away.
Why we don't sometimes mix it up and hit the "channels" instead of always playing it up to the forwards feet with their backs to goal is a mystery to me.

It could and should have been 6-1 at half time and double figures at the end.
Never seen a side create that many easy chances.
McCorkell saved several one on one's in the first half alone.
Three at the back doesn't do us any favours and the obsession with playing out from the back when only Gurteen is comfortable on the ball - cost us yet again.
There were few Borough fans who made the trip and some of those left with 10 mins left as they'd had enough. It was the same at home to Hanworth last week.

The trouble with AM is that whilst he makes good saves he also gets sent off and gives the opposition chances from his own mistakes. I could understand him being selected for the previous 2 games prior to yesterday as Dan was cuptied for the Rayners Lane match. Dan can also make good saves and does not make silly mistakes. He is also seems much better at catching crosses. So far during his career with us you can rely on him being on the pitch come the end of the game.

Agree we were lucky to get away with such a minimal defeat. Unfortunately whilst our goalkeeper makes some great saves he has the habit of gifting the opposition goals. This cannot go on and frankly Dan seems a better bet to start in goal. Unsure Carl Stewart has what it takes to be in the starting eleven either. Just my personal opinion.

Agree with this totally.
To be honest the ceremonial swapping of the arm band when Stewart comes on or goes off is becoming embarrassing.
Time for the management to stand up & be counted, as the good will they had a few weeks ago is running thin.
A ludicrous back pass presented Hanworth with an early goal last Saturday, but we continued to pass to our keeper when easier options were available.
We did exactly the same at Rayners Lane, but got away with it, but yesterday it continued.
I genuinely think the main reason we play 3 centre backs is so we have spare man to pass to on the edge of our own box.
Switch to a back four & get an extra man in midfield, then we might actually hold on to the ball further up the field

I believe a captain should be vocal on the pitch. The only player that remotely fits that bill seems to be James Gurteen.

Perhaps they ought to be booked in to Hogwarts for a lesson in the "Dark Arts" as Terry used to used to say.
Moneyfields run rings around us on that one.
I thought overall the ref had a reasonably good game but Money's loud "antics" definitely influenced some of the officials decisions at times .
