Had a lot of time for Dennis and Nic.Genuine good guys.Hope to see them soon.
Where does that leave us?
My choice would be promote within. But I also think an old head maybe a good move.
Any suggestions would be good.Up the Boro.

I guess this depends how proactive the club are. If they just wait for candidates to apply, it could be anyone. Supposedly in the past we have had the likes of Gary Meakin, Michael Bryan, Jason Shaw, MCS and Wayne Carter all apply. Did one of them impress enough at the time, even if not hired, that the club now go after them? I believe they would all be available except
For Wayne Carter who would have to be taken from Harefield. The ex Amersham town boss could be an option. Godfrey Torto would be the one from within maybe assisted by Danny after/Andre Scarlett. Godfrey also has the link with Albert Adomah who has slightly expressed interest before. Not sure what his current playing status is for next season. Maybe a move to the Southern Central would be more suited to Albert location wise. Whoever it is, let’s hope it’s wrapped up quickly.

Any rumours on the potential new management team?
We are almost in June, with no announcement. Starting to get worried on the situation.
One we can rule out is Wayne Carter as Harefield posted last night that he has agreed to stay on next season, accompanied by ex Boro midfielder David Taylor on his coaching staff.
Who do we want? Jason shaw? Meakin?
Pre season friendlies?

I mentioned previously that Non-league has changed dramatically in the last 4-5 seasons & unless you take the reins earlier in every instance, every year you’ll eventually get left way behind.
By now you’d like to know if your best players are staying & your management is in place, ready to go.
If not your chasing everything, whilst others are on route & taking comfort in the knowledge they’ve got a plan in place.
I rely wouldn’t want to be chasing player left overs & crappy pre-season fixtures later than mid-June
I’m hoping that there is a Gaffa in place already & we just have done a very good job of keeping it quiet in the non-league circles.
If this is the case then who wouldn’t want 3-4 of our best players to stay?
So let us know? We deserve something as fans….

Whilst clubs around us are building their teams and already announcing their full set of pre season fixtures, we're still twiddling our thumbs wondering who our next manager will be. Have all our players committed to other teams or do we have some who are waiting to see who our next manager will be?
I fear for the future of the club. I feel we're getting left behind. This whole manager saga should have been sorted out ages ago. It was obvious we needed a new manager. Why didn't we act earlier?
Maybe I'm just being pessimistic. As somebody mentioned in a previous post, maybe we have a manager but just haven't announced it but what would be the point in that? So seems unlikely.

Once again we were lacking on the pro active side of things. A decision on DQ and team should have been made in advance of the season finishing or immediately afterwards. It took so long and then the application process has been too. Much like the last 2 seasons. I understand being thorough but we will be quite behind with organising pre season friendlies. I know the ‘signings’ other clubs do can quickly change unless they are on a proper contract. But approaching June and not having anything in place is pretty scandalous. Especially as we’ve pretty much known since March that the management team were not good enough and should have been leaving. I’m told plenty of applicant which of course is good. But also a lack of foresight and knowledge of local football going ons mean we don’t seem to headhunt anybody ourselves. Hopefully the white smoke over Earlsmead will appear by Monday at the latest.

Is there any news at all on the Hot Seat?
Seen plenty of good names mentioned.
I’m guessing it all depends on money as usual….if there’s some to compete then great, if not really then I guess the the man Godfrey go for it with his 23s???
Is there any news on who’s staying team wise?
What’s the general opinion, some must be staying surly?

Goodness me everyone!
I thought the club might have 3 or 4 tied up (even on a gentlemans agreement) after last year…Harry, Keagan, Gurteen so as to give the manager a small group of loyal honest chaps who know the club standards & expectations.

I feel like we've already made a bad start to next season for the third season in a row. Whilst other teams are signing players and getting their teams sorted for next season, we haven't even got a manager and there's a possibility that not a single player from this season will be with us next season. It depends who the manager is.
I feel the club should have been more proactive and started the search for a new gaffer much earlier or perhaps even head hunted someone like what Hendon did to us.
It's very early days but I'm already worried about next season.

We certainly didn't make a bad start to last season. In fact the start was the only good bit !

Ignore all the twitter posts about players signing for clubs. Nobody can sign forms until July 1st.
This time last year Egham made a huge fanfare about Excellence signing for them. He signed for Hendon before the first pre season friendly had been played.
There's a lot of d1ck waving going on right now.
Yes, we do need to make an appointment soon, but I'd rather we took another week and got the right candidate in.
Hopefully there is a release clause written into the new managers contract as there was with Ben.
Players follow managers and money, so we will be lucky to see more than a couple from this season back at Earlsmead come August.
I'm sure there is plenty of interest in the job. Despite the merry go round of the last few seasons - we are a stable club that is run by genuine football people.
That's attractive to managers.

I do hear what you’re saying but what I think you & the club are not seeing is that things get sorted far quicker these days than when we were young enough to do a job.
Yes Excell did change allegiance last season before a ball was kicked in anger & possibly there
May have been a handful of others across countless leagues that did the same. Let’s face it though Excel was bang average & is only a Step 5 player at best, and even then don’t score many.
To get decent solid players who can get you Top 6 in the table reasonably means signing early & anouncing early to ward off others & to make a statement of intent.
Players of that standard want early decisions for themselves so they can plan their summer, & yes plan their own pre-preseason…which the vast majority do now.
Imagine if we have not informed already a manager of his position then he is doomed to Missourian a chance of anything, trust me.
Imagine what you’d be looking at if you only had 3 weeks to effectively plan your preseason training schedule & arrange fixtures…,oh and get a competitive squad together.
It’s not happening I personally can only see another poor season upon us & probable relegation too over the coming seasons.
A dear friend of mine says he’s heard there may not even be a team due to poor sponsorship & lack of funds.
I only wish we could be more transparent & engage better with fans, community….but hey apparently there’s a wrong demographic.
I’ve heard so many excuses over the years but that’s barmy.
The wrong people doing too many of the wrong job’s badly
is usually the reason but that’s barmy will never be admitted to.
Until it’s too late.
God I wish I were local & healthy enough to help.
