The final fourth
Views: 720
Great result yesterday. We've got 12 games left in the season, 36 Pts at stake. 12pts behind the nearest Play off spot, but with a game in hand.
Remaining Fixtures (league position)
Fareham Town (22)
Binfield (17)
Horndean (21)
Ascot United (20)
South Park (Reigate) (11)
AFC Portchester (5)
Binfield (17)
Bognor Regis Town (12)
Hendon(18)
Kingstonian (19)
Hartley Wintney (13)
Southall (15)
Only one club above us left to play, and they are the club we're chasing for the final Play-off spot. It's a long shot but it could be an exciting end of season.

I don’t know if we are capable of getting into the playoffs at this point, but our fixtures certainly look favourable. If we can go on a good run we could be looking at 28 points. That would put us on 71 points by end of season. However, Portchester also have a favourable run in and on their form I would expect them to pick up at least 20 points. That would put them on 75. Leatherhead, Westfield and Moneyfields are basically out of sight for us. So that would leave Hanworth. They have a slightly harder run in and would probably need to lose 6 games of their remaining 12. It’s possible as they play Moneyfields, Hartley, H&Y, Westfield, Portchester, Egham and Raynes Park. Maybe if they only picked up 12-15 points we could overtake them. But as of now, I suspect we will be finishing somewhere in the 60 odd points range and probably a 6-9th finish

I agree it's a stretch, but not impossible. With the game in hand and then match against Porchester we could see the gap narrow to six points but that's still a challenge.
I think along as the play-offs are mathematically possible it'll help with motivation. Plenty of the sides we have left will be battling relegation and will be fighting for survival. We're on course to beat last seasons 14th place/51pts and even if we can't squeak into the play offs I'd love to see us finishing in spitting distance.
