I think first thing would be a constitution.

To provide a framework for decisions and accountability.

Any board should ideally have specific roles for football; commercial: legal; finance; estates; supporters; administration including minutes.

There should be a couple of non exec directors purely to see things run properly.

IMO if this had been in place and genuine civic minded characters involved there would never have been separation of ground and club; a feud with neighbours; massive outspending of income; and non payment of rent. Which are what led directly to what has happened!

If the CoOp follows such rules and keeps on the straight and narrow then why shouldn’t a football club claiming to represent the town?
