Informally, I agree but formally it does matter as far as the FA are concerned.

At the start of this season, Nuneaton Griff would have been considered to be the Senior Club in Nuneaton, based on status & league position but with the Boro's promotion next season Nuneaton Town FC CIC will become the Senior Club in the town.

My question is 'will the new Club seek to repeat what the previous incarnation of Nuneaton Town achieved in reverting to being Nuneaton Borough, achieved with the FA's approval & gained on merit' or 'will it strive to become a recreational community club, settling for a position at Level 7/Step 3'

In supporting 'the Boro' for 60 years, I have always been proud of our on-field achievements, for the most part as an Elite football club, worthy of representing a town the size of Nuneaton, with a current population of circa 90,000
