"Quite a few refs would have stopped the game."

Yes they would have . Seen it done. That example is perfect. He was aware that there was a NOC player down. Also aware he was making a bit of a meal of it. He checked with a glance and then allowed the game to continue, as the player on the deck was nowhere near play and not likely to prevent the attack. Correct decision. Which surprised me.

The NOC staff were still giving him verbals as they walked up the tunnel at half time. Should have been carded for that.

So many of our opponents resort to rolling about and feigning death like this. Poor coaching. Just breaks the play up. Which is not going to deter an attacking side like Boro' for long. Classic example last night. Gobby number 2 with the lovely tied up hair. 50/50 with Kyle second half. Screamed like a stuck pig and collapsed, rolling about in "agony." Free kick (incorrectly ) given then leapt to his feet with cries of "another miracle!" from the Boro faithful.

Concentrate on marking players like Kyle, lad. It must hurt running into him but don't cheat like that?
