How many managers in Boro history have come from amateur football management or have not played the game at league level or top level non league?
The top amateur local managers of the last 50 years- and I know a few of them- have never got near to managing the Boro.
JG didn’t have the cv to manage at Boros level. One top Nuneaton football stalwart who I will not name told me JG should never have managed above two or three levels below Boro.
