I don't think you have misread the situation at all. All players, strikers especially, want to make an impact on the game. Certainly in the last five or six home league games, Kyle was becoming more, and more isolated because of the style of football we were playing. Others have commented that he did not seem happy towards the end of the season, which seemed the case for me too. I only saw home games, so cannot comment on whether this was also the case in away games. As you imply, the long ' hoof ball' game frustrated Kyle, and perhaps, contract or not, he thought it was time to move on. All conjecture of couse, but he has now left the club.
