Tamworth have been at the Lamb for eighty years. Why after all that time, with a 99 year rolling lease is it suddenly prudent to purchase the land? If the new owner is solely interested in building the club a new stadium, then then there would be no long term issues in doing so with such a lease in place. The question is why does a property developer from the USA suddenly decide that buying the land is so crucial. So no, I see no difference in the Tamworth situation than that of the Boro's.other than a third party is involved.
