It would be possible if it was linked to building a new Stadium in the town for Tamworth FC.

If the new American owner agreed to buy the Lamb for the (elsewhere quoted) sum of £250k, he would be able to sell the land on to another developer for a significantly increased sum, if Tamworth Council granted a satisfactory Outline Planning Permission for a more valuable change of use, from a sports ground.

The frustration for all parties in such an arrangement would be finding a potentially more suitable site in Tamworth to build a new Stadium.

If Tamworth Council cannot provide such a site, all parties will be reliant upon a private landowner to offer/bring forward their land for consideration.

It can become a complex situation very quickly!
