Yes these are pertinent questions you raise. You only have to visit the Lamb ground to see it's potential. Not just housing and it's proximity to the train station, but its potential for other business uses , such as car dealerships, another hotel?
A Tamworth fan has said the land would be worth 1.5 mill with 30 houses on the site.
In response to VOR the big problem is that there is little suitable land in the town. Most green field sites on westrn edge are Lichfield district, and on east side it is huge warehousing.
Some locals are suggesting the athletics ground is a potential, but as some of you say it's all conjecture at the moment.
