Did the club own Manor park at the time of the Bradford fire Gus?
The designation of Manor Park under the Safety of Sports grounds Act after that disaster needed money to be spent to improve the ground. So if the council still owned the ground then perhaps they could have contributed to the work needed.to make it safe.
So I suppose if Kelly et al owned it a lack of.money prevented the grounds upgrade to keep the club in the conference in 1987.
