It is a dilemma!

The furthest that Town can go at The Oval is Level 7/Step 3 (SLPC).

Even if a joint agreement was made to merge the two Clubs, the furthest the new merged Club could go remains at Level 7/Step 3.

The key driver is that The Oval is Bedworth United's home ground & the continuous Community use of their 3G pitch is essential for their cashflow.

Back to Town now, I said from the outset that they will be playing at The Oval for at least 5 seasons but I think the supporters need to be prepared to accept that could quite easily extend to 10 seasons.

By that time Town's Board will know whether there is any genuine goodwill/intent on the part of NBBC to help the Club find a new home & return to Nuneaton.

Just my thoughts!

Edit:

The main concerns about when Town will be able to return to Nuneaton are coming mostly from the older generation.

All or most of those life-long supporters have to accept that, in all probability, they will not live long enough to see that happen.

They also need to accept that there are no guarantees in the Planning process & Planning applications are exhaustive & take as long as necessary to conclude.
