Yes, but the budget is set based on a lower attendence. Last years average of 600 was over the season. Take the Atherstone and Cov crowds off , then tuesdays crowd would be nearer the norm. S'Lad, is right to assume that trimming the squad would enable us to bring in a striker on better money without breaking the budget. However, our business model is effectively limiting ambition.
We do not want to go back to the boom and bust days of spending money we don't have just to gain a short term advantage. It gets a lot harder financially as you gain promotions. Managing expectation is as important as managing the club.
