VoR, you seem to have appointed yourself as Boro's spokesman (spokesperson?) without actually asking everyone else.

Boro has not "always been a 'big name' in the non-league world". We were quite a while ago, but in recent times we have mostly been a sidenote in non-league football.

As for "the dream of our fanbase has been to one day play in the EFL", I think you are massively mistaken. Most of the Boro fans I speak to would love Boro to return to being a top level non-league club - and I am certainly of that opinion. It's not lacking ambition, it's knowing our limitations and being realistic. EFL is not a holy grail for Boro - I believe it would be the death of yet another incarnation of our club.
