i was told that they chucked Vino in to sweeten the deal.
true or false ? who knows, thats how i remember it unfolding
you wud have to ask Geoff that one.
alas as the years pass it all gets that bit more blurred.
so dont be surprised if im wrong

pps remember going down the adders when the likes of Stan Marshall Malc Allen
and big Jack Dunn got involved.
also remember Ernie Hunt playing for them
made the likes of Wayne Rooney look positively anorexic ;-)
im pretty sure De Mulder was the chairman in those days
