A bit of plain speaking to you sauce who ever you are.
Couldn’t give a toss what you say- some of us have skin in the game regarding Boro and it’s history - I did 45 years and like you have gone all around the country, spent fortunes and helped the coop in the past- it was me, who for no reward whatsoever produced design solutions to provide a disabled facility for Boro fans that needed it. My reason for ending my support was mainly due to the total disregard for long standing Boro supporters who didn’t stand for all the hype that JG and his army threw at us. All those who didn’t worship at his alter and warned what would happen were vilified for not towing the line. Some including me were verbally abused at games and via online platforms and so called supporters group. My other half who supported Boro for 20 years with me will never watch the club again after I was verbally abused at a game - I gave what I got but she no longer felt safe amongst certain individuals who described themselves as ardent Boro fans but who vociferously backed those who’s hubris destroyed the club yet again.
So hold the opinions you wish but perhaps you should remember that f you purport to love a club you should perhaps stand up for it when it is threatened.
You do seem to have been very adept at pontificating at what Boro supporters should think and have a long standing tradition on here for belittling smaller clubs and giving it the “look at us “ we’re massive mantra.
Sorry Sauce but unlike you I am actually Nuneaton born and bred and totally understand the history of both the town and its football club.
I’m done but knowing some individuals now involved I hope for a successful future but burying your head in the sand and eradicating what has gone before will not help. Having a fan base of 500 and playing teams with support below 50-100 might serve you well today but when Town do return to the previous level it might not be very plain sailing.
Don’t count your chickens before they hatch as they say.
Summing up Sauce I couldn’t give a fuck what you think- you’re not from Nuneaton and will never understand the connection that real Nuneaton people had or have with the club and why some continue to believe it had a future when others have thrown in the towel and have accepted the whole thing always fails sooner or later and has gone under more times than a famous French scuba diver.
Enjoy while you can and I hope it gives you everything you want .
But as far as you are concerned mr Nuneaton I don’t give a monkeys toss what you or anyone else thinks as to why I ended m support for an institution with a long track record of failure and broken promises.
So revel in the current success and tie your Boro banners up at village clubs - you’ll probably enjoy that more than watching Boro draw 0-0 with Hartlepool in the National league.
