The last time I went to the Oval was to watch Bedworth United's Southern League Division One Midlands play-off final win against Berkhamsted Town.

They were promoted to the SLPC that season & were relegated the following season.

That's the second time in my recent memory that the Greenbacks have been promoted to the SLPC followed by relegation.

So, yes at that time The Oval had an FA ground-grading for Level 7/Step 3.

My guess is that at the moment, The Oval only has an FA ground-grading for Level 8/Step 4?

To increase the grading to Level 7/Step 3 would require a new application & a ground-grading inspection by the FA.

The choice of the new 3G pitch specification is CRITICAL, if EITHER or BOTH clubs look to progress any higher than Level 7/Step 3?

FUTURE PROOFING is not about supporters opinions, it's about both clubs aspirations to progress upwards through the FA's pyramid system & that requires compliance with the FA's ground-grading requirements...FACTS!
