"Don't Panic"

On reflection we need to be very careful here. Some wild and also some very measured views are exposed in the previous thread. I have no doubts at all from listening to ALL those behind the rebirth of the club that there will be a strong and measured reaction from the dugout to the boardroom. ( Yes: I know: it's a figure of speech-we have no boardroom!) The players too will be hurting . Most of us have played team football and so have experienced something like that in the dressing room after a shock defeat or a surprisingly poor performance. Man: it really hurts!!

Apart from the disappointment of losing heavily to a side who have spent the season achieving very little, there is little else more to be said. It's happened. The previous thread seems to be split between just leave it and move on or it's the end of the world.

As Forum Warriors , we can analyse it all we want , but as always it is for the coaching staff and for them alone to actually look into what happened and then to act on it. It is for them (only them,) to decide when to "move on." It's the best management team we've had in ages: I'm sure they will do exactly that. Anyone who has ever stood close to Doddsy or Acco (or both) during a game will have had a headache. And 100% confidence that they will sort it.

The reaction to the end of a great, record breaking run creates a very diverse reaction amongst Boro fans. We haven't had all that many recently so that is inevitable. As one who has stuck with them since the first home game at the Oval, yes it hurts. It was always going to. I don't agree with all the criticisms, especially those of the Hinckley game. It is precisely our ability and flowing style which got us promoted and then propelled us to the top of the next league. It was there to see for all at that game. Yet some couldn't see it.

I hope we stick with that style. it. It has spurred me into buying a season ticket again. Something Messrs Ginnelly, Neal, etc could not do. It has brought many sceptics back into the fold. This setback will delight the sceptics ,cynics and stayaways Don't lose heart. And remember the elation that a flowing style of play has brought back into some of our hearts. We will win this tinpot league. And we WILL get back home.
