I heard several people last night mentioning the "work" word when discussing the lower attendance, Some people also work away midweek and others have shift patterns they cannot always get out of.

Our most fervent supporter, (Mr. Clough excluded) was not able to attend last night as, due to a 7.45pm kick off I could not possibly get her back home to Nuneaton until gone 10pm. That's probably too late for a school night. Other than the (extraordinarily loud!!) Ambleside mascots, there were not so many kids there as you might see on an ordinary Saturday.

Greg and I stood watching together second half and we both feel that some of the stayaways might be well advised to try and get in to see this unique squad before this unique season comes to a close. Bus stop in Beduff, Tinpot League, pub teams or not ( don't buy ANY of that btw), that would be my advice to any one who signs themselves UTB. Come in and see them. Quick. So few games left now. Putting dosh through the turnstiles will only advance any return to Nuneaton.

Always taking a perverse standpoint, I thought that the ref was not the worst I've seen home and away this season. Not top drawer, either and a bit confused at times over who was actually supposed to be making the decisions but not the worst.

The build up and finish to the goals was scintillating. No other word will do-watch them again if you don't believe me! The result and standard of the performance was a great credit to the squad and the management team. With Callum and a few others missing the levels could have dropped. They did not. That was a gritty team performance.
