Lots of talk now about JG and his abilities but the simple truth is anyone that said these things whilst he was at Boro generally took a lot of stick as being anti Boro. Many apparent Boro fans backed him even at the end because he “saved the club”. His antics when involved were a disgrace and even after having a go himself at fans on Boro chat, the promotion fund fiasco and the disrespectful picture of him on a cross because he believed he sacrificed himself for the good of the club, plenty still backed him.
Some though stayed away, some made their feelings known BUT many still backed him.
It’s all history now - enjoy your new club and make damn sure no one like him ever gets involved again.
Could he have been stopped? , probably not but imo there should have been a far better concerted effort to force him out once his shinanigans got out of control. He has a good right to be involved in football like anyone but managing in the Cov Alliance and the bottom rungs of non league doesn't qualify you to run a club like Boro with a large number of paying supporters.
