hi Greg ref Malc Barrass yes i remember him.
i might be wrong here its all a bit clouded
believe he was an England wartime international so matches must have taken place
1958 at Boro with Ken Grieves, goalkeeper who played cricket summer months for Lancs..
think he was in the team that played at Burton when they opened their new ground 3-0 Boro ?? memory
was it called Eton pk* ?? very basic... look where they are now
bit of trivia i worked with our LB who played that day. ( hope that was the match )
also MB is the big ch that Stanley Mathews famously gave the runaround too on film,
turned him inside out it was called the Mathews final
* previously only went the old ground once think they played rugger on it too.
sat on open wooden seating.... long time ago now. it was more in the town.
