I don’t think he’s once said that.

I don’t agree with VoR on everything he posts, but similarly I won’t join the witchunt that lambasts him for any opinion he ever has, either.

He’s not said they should formally train more than once or twice a week, at all.

BUT, I think he shares the same opinion as me, and VS, and whoever else, that the higher up the pyramid you go, and remember these lads get paid (albeit not a lot to perform), there’s a personal responsibility to stay in shape and put effort in- eg runs in your own time, gym in your own time, sauna for recovery etc.

I play AMATEUR sport every Saturday in the summer. I pay subs to play. I still ensure I go training each week AND run twice a week in my own time despite a full time job and a 6 year old child else I’d be embarrassed on a Saturday afternoon.
