They are the model set-up to follow for any small town/village club that has the ambition & aspires to provide a recreational facility to support the Community/activities & functions within the Community.

Vale View could provide such a facility for the residents of Stockingford & Camp Hill & provide a home for Town's Junior football clubs, in the future.

That said, IMO, it needs to go further than that, it also needs to provide a facility that allows Town to return to playing Elite level football, to proudly represent once again the Town of Nuneaton, with a population of circa 90,000.

I'm not sure that can happen at Vale View, it will depend on the planning & any restrictions that are imposed on the future Stadium capacity due to the location & local conditions.

The fall-back position, if that proves to be the case, would be to build a modest Stadium suitable for Step 3 football & no higher.

If that is what is eventually agreed, consideration should be given to staying at the Oval, which, IMO, could be further developed to Level 2/possibly Level 1 standard.

Maybe even a merger between Town & the Greenbacks at that stage?

Just my thoughts!

Edit:

What the Town Board need to avoid at this stage, is just trying to blaze a trail towards building new Stadium at Vale View & end up building something that is not suitable, or worse still running into an immovable Planning roadblock to their ambitions!
