I was taken to task last season by Forum disciplinarians for (allegedly) knocking their attendances. I was doing no such thing, but there is no doubt that their home gates were very much lower than ours. They have to rely on far less regulars than us for any income , so it is perfectly understandable that they should target what they have and make their prices sensible.

I'm (still) not knocking them in any way. Their set up is impressive. Been to The Butts before , for Beer festivals and Rugby matches. Always enjoyable. Security briefly got a bit iffy about Mr. Clough, but other than the result, it was a decent day out.

On a second thought whilst on the subject of Cov United: our away game there was a sobering experience in every way. The result (and our performance) was a wake up call. I also think a couple of our players found our huge away support there a bit of an eye opener. I name no names.

Just my conjecture.
