I think, (I'm sure he'll correct me if I'm wrong) , this is an example of Pod Wit. It's his version of being polite. You invited him to have a dig, pretty well. He only insults people he likes.
FTR I share his views on McGrath. A bit too meh for me.
Carsley now....sigh....a grand player with a decent brain. He has broken my granddaughter's heart by stepping back.
