Town's supporters need to be clear in their understanding of the Board's proposal for a new Stadium design.

FWP have designed the Main Stand to be built to National League North requirements (Level 6/Step 2) (250 seats) with the potential further expansion to National League Premier requirements (Level 5/Step 1) (500 seats).

The stadium capacity requirement for the National League North is 3,000 with covered accommodation for 500 spectators, including 250 seats.

The new floodlighting requirement for the National League North is 200 lux.

The stadium capacity require for the National League Premier is 4,000 with covered accommodation for 500 spectators, including 500 seats.

The new floodlighting requirement for the National League Premier is 250 lux.

Because floodlighting levels could be a difficult planning issue, IMO, it would be sensible to include for a floodlighting level of 250 lux in the Planning Application from the outset.

The Oval is only potentially suitable for Southern League Premier Central (Level 7/Step 3) at present, maybe after some improvements have been made?

To bring The Oval up to National League North standard would need serious financial outlay, that is assuming the new 3G pitch meets National League standards & I have my doubts!?

So, realistically The Oval would not be suitable for National League football.

The alternative venue for National League football would, IMO, be Hinckley Leicester Road.

What Town cannot do is make the same mistake as that made at Liberty Way.

They must build the Main Stand first...
