You are correct in everything you are saying.

However, you need to realise that The Oval is the long-term home of Bedworth United with a lot of history & memories, going back many years.

The Oval is set-up nicely for the Greenbacks, with a 3G pitch for Community use that is a good earner.

That's where the difficulty lies for the Town!

The new 3G pitch specification (unconfirmed by both Clubs) will prevent them from progressing beyond Level 7/Step 3 (SLPC).

The likelihood of Town returning to Nuneaton is indeed a very distant prospect at the moment.

If Town want to progress beyond Level 7/Step 3 then the only alternative locally is Hinckley Leicester Road.

Edit:

Bedworth United receiving all of the bar & refreshment takings at Town's home games is as massive bonus to the Greenbacks & realistically that commercial situation is unsustainable long-term.
