Yes it was until 1974, until the county boundaries changed.
Not been in Warwickshire since and is unlikely to be in ever again.
It's not just for administrative purposes, it physically isn't in Warwickshire anymore.
I suggest you look at the counties on a map.
You may aswell say Coventry is in Warwickshire if you go by your logic! 😆
