Right, I keep saying this, so it's got to come true sooner or later, but I actually think tonight is the night we start producing away from home.

A win tonight, and a draw at Bromsgrove on Saturday.

Comfortable tonight too, plenty of goals like at LW.

Another depressingly horrible away performance that followed a similar pattern to so many this season . Dominated the first half for long periods but failed to capitalise including missing a couple of sitters . Should have had the game won by half time then deteriorated into a shambles second half .

Of the six away games, boro have scored in three of them.

Of these 3 games they have gone onto lose twice, and drawn once.

I am at a loss why, in all football teams do better at home than away - Does familiarity make that much difference?

Having seen most of the away games two issues stand out .
The tactics are wrong . The way we are trying to play just isn't working and furthermore is actually suiting the home sides .
There is a total lack of belief from the players . They seem to be playing nervous and on edge as if they expect it to go wrong , and like a self fulfilling prophecy it does . Then as soon as they suffer a setback they panic even more , the heads drop and it all becomes a bit of a shambles .

Thoughts of play-offs,promotion and relegation avoidance.
Shoring-up the Club, securing finances and sowing seeds for the future on the pitch should be the priorities.
Nothing else matters, one point away from home included.

But the club and jimmy and the players have come out and said the aim is promotion. So the criticism should be that of a promotion chasing side and not a mid table one. The away form is shocking. With the players we have, i think its got be this season we get promoted or i can see cut backs to the budget next year.

Away from home it appears that our tactics work in the first half then the opposition change their tactics as they suss us out. We need to change tactics at half time

Do agree with that.

Everyone wanted a stable club.

Whilst the away form is laughable in comparison to home, if this continues we will come mid table and drama free.

Most would have settled for that.

So fed up with all these second half away collapses after a good home performance, why the hell can we not grind out a result when winning. Suppose certain members of the present management team ffffing and blinding like mad at the players does not help …..god I hate away games at the moment no disrespect but some very poor grounds mixed in with being beaten. Sort it please because we are looking at a mid-table finish at the moment Boro.

The same players are getting polar opposites of results at home compared to away there could be many explanations ranging from mind set of players to different tactics.
The same applies to the opposition of course.

What might help us . Most teams we've played this season have parked the bus and played on the break even at home . Just a guess but i feel both these sides might be prepared to play things a bit more open , which could suit us better .
