Think their contracts finish end of May, usually finish at the end of the season

I think it depends if full-time or part-time.

part-time tends to mirror the league season dates; I am pretty sure full-time are in line with all leagues and run till the end of june (or maybe start).

Cam, Miles and dev finish end of June normally finish start of May but Thorn and Smurthwaite gave contracts till the end of June.

Assume it was recorded before before Lita agreed to join as Lavery said there were no players signed to the club and all last seasons players were effectively free agents at the minute, said next season would be fully a JG and Lavs team and would be players they wanted, said also that the minimum they expected would be the play offs.

From the JG video on Facebook, I took it to be that Lita hasn't actually put pen to paper but will sign.

As I said “ assume recorded before Lita agreed to join” I didn’t say he had signed

Yes just listened to the podcast . For anyone else interested there's a link on borochat which is basically a chat with JG & Lavery lasting around 40 mins . You'll need to set up a spotify account if you don't have but that is straightforward & free . They seem very positive about next season and it' impressive they have reduced the clubs debt from 220k to 40k in one year .

Apparently when he took over from Hawkins he was told the debt was 70k , but that was incorrect . Apparently they then found out there was a large amount of additional debt they didn't originally know about . I'm guessing this is where the extra has come from .

ref debt; if correct that is pretty impressive
whatever your thoughts on JG are as far as running the club goes top billing imo.
hard to find fault.
well done J.

To be fair on Jimmy i don't think he had much chance to actually manage the team last season as he was tied up sorting the club out behind the scenes . Taking into account the job he did with this i think he deserves the chance to show what he can do without his hands tied . He doesn't seem to be making any excuses in advance on the podcast so lets see .

Yes - having messers Obeng and Addleson on the books limited financial leverage (I think he signed Belford, but I may be wrong).

He certainly signed other playerS believed to be on decent wages (benbow, Henshall, Lowe, Bevan, Julian, Breedon).

If you mean “his efforts off the field” then yes - He has done well.
But he also had Lavery and Belford as assistance; neither would have been a shock if appointed as manager.

yep your probably right
what i do think is very important from his perspective is the team he puts around him
thus freeing him up to get on with other duties that arise in respect of running the club.
think this new guy coming in is as a player/coach ???
have to say looking back and talking in general terms the club has been in far worse hands than now
if we can get a well run club off the field up and running then one day hopefully it will come right on it.

Not bad going given debt appeared To be £550,000 for the year ending June 2018 (season before relegation season) but I guess that includes money owed to Lee Thorne.
