ref numbers sold ; probably due to the uncertainty surrounding the season
i bought mine on the premise that
i would support the club whatever.
i would assume that fans with health issues wont attend
i would also assume that the club are pretty happy with the level of support at the moment.
given the situation

Apparently Bury sold there allocation out in two hours . Not sure how many we sent them back . Will need our attitude to be right tomorrow as they haven't lost a game this season appart from a county cup game held over from last season and they certainly see it as a big game . I'm making the trip but i'm not overly confident .

I think maybe I was just in a good mood last weekend, or how good the ground looked made me positive about the club.

No league win.
Getting knocked out the cup to a team league below.

Maybe I was wrong, and others were right, that we are pretty shit. On paper, looks good. Sadly, summit isnโ€™t quite right.

Whilst management have not used injuries as an excuse, two "expected selection" came back tonight.

Can't see why the change at full-back. Sign a full back, play 1 game to be replaced by a midfield player who has been in and out due to injuries.

Driving home I listed to the commentary - Very good and very interesting listen....joke made about "and Breedon......".

Having looked at Boro-chat on Facebook.....still some say "JG doing a great job on and off the field".

Whilst they seem to be having a good season (still in FA Cup and 2 wins from 2 in league), lets not forget they are in a league below whilst JG surely has eyes on promotion.

Doesn't sound good at all tonight, against a decent Bury side by the sounds of it.

One day ago.

No matter whether you bias is results or entertainment, JG has supplied neither.

I quote

" Jimmy Ginnelly has done a great job at the Boro both on and off the field , bringing together a community and bringing people in to the club that care , ๐Ÿ’™ , this gentleman obviously appreciates the hard work everyone associated has put in to save the club ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘"

Whilst what JG (and background staff) have done to bring money in off-the-field, I have seen no evidence in 2 years that either results of entertainment has improved.
Also, whilst I 100% concur that JG as owner has steadied the ship there is a good argument that he may never have had that chance without Hawkins or Smurthwait. Smurthwait stepped in when Thorn pulled out, and Hawkins when Smurthwait pulled out.

Based on PPG Boro were 11th. Hardly "just outside playoffs".

Just relegated back to SL-Midland (if memory serves me right.).

Same could be applied to Chris Wright.

Result was to be expected if i'm honest, Boro's record in the FA Cup over the last ten years is shocking.
Hemel Hempstead, Lincoln United, Nantwich, Evesham, amongst others who have knocked us out early doors in recent years.

Apathy is beginning to set in amongst some of the Boro fans, as very few signs of improvement on the pitch.
Will not be surprised or disappointed if we lose to Barwell on Saturday.

Jimmy G is doing his best with a very average team imo.

Realistically, I would be happy with a mid-table finish this season - that's how far my expectations have fallen.

The club is making great progress off the field you can see that. On the field results are disappointing, but fans need to be patient.

Yes i think he is doing his best, but is it good enough?

He may have reached the limits of his capabilities at this level and perhaps someone better equipped tactically is needed to take the club forward.

Is mid-table in the Southern League acceptable for Boro? Most would say it isn't.

I'd argue fans expectations currently are too low.

Don't think we should expect to be non league giants in the Conf National again, but bang average at step 3 and just accepting it, will only lead us to go further down.

It's the equivalent of being bang average in the old southern midlands before the Conf North was introduced.

We are/could be a steady step 2 (Conf North) side IMO. Support base is there, ground is there. Accepting being this low, meh.

No - Goddard was.

What you do is
1 - identify a weak area
2 - sign a right back
3 - play him.
4 - replace him with a midfielder who was not fit enough for the bench 3 days ago.

Goddard was right back in a four . Lita was pretty much on his own up front with almost zero support .

I would say individually it is not a very average team. A good number used to holding a team place down in the league higher. For some reason it doesn't gel as a team. Is it tactics, coaching or something else?

JG has used the same tactic of one upfront with two wide players for most of the time he has been in charge, it doesnโ€™t work, playing one upfront makes it easier for defenders to mark the lone striker.

Me also, what a mug I must have been to travel be positive and expect a professional job done on a club below us in level, it never showed. Clueless, leaderless and lacking in all round tactical nous. Should I be surprised....NO. Different set of players maybe, same old shortcomings on display as last season. Bitterly disappointed full stop. With any luck this season may end early again and put us all out of our misery.

Perhaps if we tried playing out from the back instead of Breedon just pumping hopeful balls down the middle which just keep coming straight back
