Weird game, but deserved win

Hard to give much of a view of the game when you’re stood so far back, although I really did like their ground from a unique view point.

First half was a bore fest others than a few good runs from Kaziboni.

Second half we got the ball down and at least tried to play in difficult conditions. Kelly was comfortably the best player on the pitch IMO, covering lots of ground and showing his experience and class at times.

First goal was a floated corner from Kelly that their keeper flapped into his own net. Dreadful keeping.

Second goal was a poor clearance from their defender straight to DKE who slammed home.

Once we scored one, the game was never really in doubt.

Shame to see Shamsi and Kaziboni arguing so petulantly, other than that, good all round.

Borough number seven should have been immediately substituted.
Effing and blinding at a team-mate loud enough to be heard on terrace behind goal takes some doing.
Referee could have dismissed him too.

From Saint Jimmies's Park.

There were instances at Redditch.
There was a dispute on who to take the penalty versus St Ives.
I was less than impressed how Shamsi run off when substituted at Barwell.

These things will always happen, but when they become apparent and frequent its not good.

I’d say definitely Kaziboni issue yesterday.

Beat three or four and desperate to get a shot off when a pass was better.

Shamsi frustrated, said something.

Kaziboni continued swearing at him for the next minute from the centre circle to the eighteen yard box.

Poor to see.

Apparently they lift share...

On this occasion it was more down to Kaziboni than Shamsi . Kaziboni does seem a good signing in terms of performance but also seems an angry individual . As a whole we do seem a set of argumentative players and officials and on occasions it looks very unprofessional and probably explains our lack of discipline .

Low key first half then a dominant second half performance from Boro . Professional performance to win a potentially tricky tie . At least we will get some prize money but what will happen with the next round , who knows .

Trophy will probably continue behind closed doors. League will have to be suspended as no crowd is a non goer. You cannot meet anyone from a DIFFERENT household indoors or out so allowing a crowd at a sports event very difficult.

Almost felt like a home game to be honest.

As much as it was pleasant, and a nice day out, I don’t overly like ‘nice days out’.

I think I miss the ‘buzz’ of thinking it could be a bit horrible if we turn over Lincoln or Luton etc. Living in the past I know, but I wish we still played big clubs

agree with you here.
halcyon days indeed.
i loved every minute of those days, win or lose, some great memories.
said at the time... on here ( so not being wise or clever after the event )
letting KW go would be the beginning of the end. bad bad decision by Mr Neale
the replacements were in all honesty fkn utter shite
cant turn the clock back, we are what we are and where we are
im a big believer that football goes in circles, every dog has its day... our turn will one day come again
success comes and goes.....to quote Jimmy Hill what goes up eventually comes down.
UTB.

ps just to add i remember going Dartford ?? ( memory )
last game of the season think we won 2-1
saying it was the most complete Boro " team" i had ever seen.
and im going back to the middle fifties

Not sure if letting KW go was up to IN.
You cant blame KW for going to a bigger club with FL potential (seems that Wrexham were a basket case in hindsight) and they probably paid far more than us.
As you say the rot set in from that day and led to we are where are now.
The IN vomitgate incident at the RICOH was also a catalyst to decline.

fwiw in simple terms as i understood it (and dont ask how i know) KW asked to go full time as his circumstances had changed, ie. one was he had lost his day job at the time
IN said no.
ok.
that was one of the reasons he took the Wrexham job.
he did go, we did collapse, they are the irrefutable facts.

hence as far as any football predictions go, based on these decisions, are speculation.
with nothing to back them up other than ones opinion.
i gave mine.
