Last years finals currently being played .
Hebburn beat Consett 3-2 in the vase final . They are also through to the semi finals of this years competion so could win the vase twice in the same month . Weird times .

Your correct there a round behind the rest . Amongst the teams already through to the semi's are Walsall Wood ( giving a midlands interest ) and United Services Portsmouth an armed forces side .

Walsall Wood are managed by Darren Byfield and have quite a few players more experienced at a higher level, their goalkeeper is former Boro no2 James Wren

Hebburn won't be double champions as they lost 1-0 to Warrington Rylands who now play Walsall Wood in the semis . US Portsmouth also lost in the semi on pens .

The chairman of FA Vase finalists Binfield, Bob Bacon, used to play for Nuneaton Old Ed’s back in the 70’s. His manager at the time was Pete Burdett, Boro 50-50 seller.
