Cannot remember him when we played his last team whom name fails me...haha. Looks experienced though welcome aboard the Boro bandwagon Jordan and here is hoping for a successful journey this coming season.

With Gough , the lad from Burton and Townsend all on board i'd guess McGory ? ( ex Halifax ) won't be .

McManus is very much left sided and left footed. He’s joked about the fact he scored at Wembley with his ‘standing leg’

Played left back, left wing back or left wing for Halifax. Occasionally left of a back three.

Played left back or centre back for Boro

My mistake for some reason thought he played as a right back

Name wrong but back to my original point it looks like McManus won't be re-signing .

Unless JG sees him playing as a Centre Half, so far I think we have Pepera, Stewart, Kettle and Edjenguele who probably not available every game due to his job. At the minute it’s the right back area we seem short on, only Edmunds who can play there

Kelly Evans was used there as a sort off wing back in a couple of games just before the lock down but he hasn't re-signed as yet of course .

Just a personal viewpoint don’t think Edmunds or DKE are ideal there, really hoping JG brings in a recognised right back

He wanted to go last close season and played pre season friendlies for numerous clubs. Never got offered anything better and came back. Would not surprise me if the same thing happened again.

Yep - he will be lucky to get anything better.

I have been amazed (should not have been) how many players are being released from clubs higher in the pyramid (including Premier league)
I suspect the side-effect of covid.
This will have a knock down effect, so has JG been too premature in signing so many of last years squad?

Think a lot of those players who have been released are going to struggle to get the money they maybe looking for so come the end of the summer potentially could be a lot of players without clubs

You could well be right, seems many clubs, including Boro, are re signing the same players they had last season, guess because of Covid clubs can’t offer more money to players so they are staying where they are
