Releasing injured and bench players is a great reaction to losing 4-0 in the cup.

Really shows the lads who let us down all the time does that

I may be wrong, but I don't think clubs (maybe can) release injured players.

There was an incident a few years ago when (I think) Marsden had been injured for a while; he was picked for BSCup and then released the day after.

On a serious note ere....

If Benbow is only two weeks away from being fit .... And no way is he going to be match fit.
Wouldn't make more sense knowing if the rumours are right about his wages is to release him now and use that money to get a (better) fit striker in who can play games right away ??????

Just saying

You said - I am not 100% convinced - can’t remember an incident (but can when injured players released immediately when fit.

Seems wrong that a player could get injured whilst playing for the club then kicked out.

Newcastle Town in the trophy he stood out as head and shoulders above the rest

I really dont know, having watched all home games from JG reign who our best players are, its hard to keep track when he keeps chopping and changing.
Normally you can bond with regular players e.g Angus, Andy Brown, Guy Hadland etc from the terraces, but thats all gone now.

I am not including those who have followed the club for about 50 years and until the last 2 seasons & cannot remember missing a home game through choice and since the Boro 0-5 Stourbridge season has had a season ticket (other than last 2 seasons and 1 the Middlesborough season).

If these people are pissed off with the football and pretty much everything with the club then it says a lot about the management.

As much as I can see where VS is coming from, and also where you are coming from, when do people have to have watched from, and how much, to be considered a fan?

I imagine I missed 15 games in 15 years between approx 1998 and 2013, and then on the flip side have only watched 8 games in the last 3 years!

Am I fan? Not a fan? Who knows.

And watching regularly, or not watching, has never been down to manager. More often than not always circumstances, finances, whether I can be arsed.

I’ve done it in the past, admittedly, half in seriousness, half in jest (Workington etc), but fans judging other fans for how they choose to watch/how often/looking down on other fans (either side of the fence) is why this club will never, ever thrive or be United/be able to be fan owned. Pettiness

I agree.

There’s the really loyal ones. There’s the go sometimes ones. There’s the lapsed one. There’s the new ones.

Anyone with an interest in the club can be considered a fan, IMO.

Some are quite obviously ‘Jimmy fans’, I don’t think anyone can deny that, they’ve popped up when he’s come and it’d be interesting to see if they continue coming if/when he leaves, but for now they are fans.

Jimmy has a few fans and a whole lot that won't entertain him at all. We can all see that.
You've been around long enough to know that if Jimmy announced in the morning that he'd discovered a cure for Covid they'd be a thread on here telling us that there was a cure out there and why on earth wasn't his cure announced in pre season.

So thats
Shamsi, Kelly, Kettle, Edjenguélé, Dias - All resigned from last season (8 points / 8 games) who have left.

Wakefield, Awahd & Westwood - All new signings for this season (4 points / 8 games) who have left.

That have gone. Any missed?

I said at the time that I was disappointed so many of last years squad had been re-signed - The team hardly set the world alight (don't forget the FA Cup exit at Bury). At least this seasons squad have taught RC Warwick who is boss.
