FOOTBALL- Lowestoft tomorrow

By MJNB15/10 08:44Fri Oct 15 08:44:29 2021

At home

Lowestoft are 16th, with 10 points from 11 games. They are one of only two clubs with a worse goal difference than us (there’s is -15, ours is -12)

They lost their last game on Tuesday night 5-0 away at Peterborough Sports. Before that, they beat Bromsgrove 2-1.

16th, at home, to me, MUST WIN

I've watched 5 out of the six homes games this season (I missed the Peterborough Sports game) & I've seen two teams so far that, in my opinion, will finish below us in the league...today's opponents Lowestoft & Leiston.

Think you put something on here a few weeks ago about our fixtures upto mid november. If were not out of relegation by then we have serious problems.

And i know its not going to happen but jimmy should do what is best and resign from being manager. Do what is best for the club and not himself. Relegation from this league will be absolutely shocking.

thanks MJ for bringing a relevant sane subject back onto the forum
i agree 100pc btw
just like to say when you try to turn your fortunes around from
what has been a chronic period on the field of play you cant always do it in one go
hence dont lose the game will for me be the prime basic objective.
last week was not a bad result when you remember how long we played with ten men.
so we live in hope,

theres no point rehashing the present debacle. its well documented
it is what it is but something has to give sooner or later
we need some results from somewhere.
nowhere to hide jimmy.

For all the topics over the last week or so, we are a football club/team, and the majority of people care what happens on a Saturday/Tuesday.

Time that stops.

Four wins from the next eight or we get relegated IMO.

Time for management and players to step up and turn this around.

We will win tomorrow IMO.

I expect an improvement (well it cant get worse), but a few wins will just cover over the cracks.

JG may provide short-term sticking plaster but he will never be the medium term answer (even if he manages to get boro in play-offs next season).

We may not agree/like but at least Wilkin (stick with what works), Wilson (total football) & Daish (don't conceded and "be the boss") had a plan and methodology.

We have had some very good managers over the years, far more good ones than bad ones.

Liam Daish wasn't a popular appointment but his managerial record at Ebbsfleet was impressive.

I cannot recall asinine Boro not being happy when he got the job.

We were all wrong and he was a disaster and a thoroughly unlikeable person.

Loved how attacking Brendan Phillips sides were the majority of the time.

Saw a clip the other day of when we drew 1-1 at Rushden, Shaun Wray scored. Must have been best part of 1000 in the airwair stand behind the goal in the away end.

Excitement in those days for games was brilliant.

Wray Crowley B.Williams Gardner

Wilkin, Kiwomya, O'Toole etc.

Happy days.

The fact I could name that side, as well as.

Donald B.Williams Statham McGinty

But couldn't name a side from this season speaks volumes.

Always 2 strikers playing with 2 on the bench.

He did have money to spend though. Most his signings were signed from higher leagues and could easily do a job at the next level.
