Jason has stated in his interview, that we have a plan & that we are in discussions with both the rugby club & the landlord.

Can we (the supporters) have patience now please, until the club can announce the outcome of those discussions.

I have outlined my thoughts on what all of the options are for our great club & we (the supporters) need to be ready & prepared to help out in anyway we can...

In the meantime, let us all build on yesterday's good result & focus all of our attention on continuing to support the team on the field, to attend matches & show the management & players that we are fully behind their efforts to stave off relegation.

The loyal businesses in the town are doing their bit, another sponsor was announced yesterday, so can we also do our bit to help the club in its present predicament please.

JG needs all of our support, now more than ever.

Thankyou for listening.

Enjoy your lunchtime pint & have a good day.

Best regards,

John.

Where does he say they are in discussions?

I heard the bit where he said they want to “work with” everybody connected to Liberty Way towards the end.

And he doesn’t say we have a plan he says we are in the process of putting one together with external sources.

Fully endorse Gregg's comments.
You are the one that has been responsible for the loss of hundreds of man-hours in Nuneaton, and beyond, as a result of your deluge of posts, many of which conveyed inaccurate information.
Folks on here have been pleading with you to stop as we are really concerned with the here and now, otherwise our proud history will be lost.
Yesterday was a start but we have all have a right to comment re on the field performances etc as the club's future is in JG's hands.
One positive from your ramblings is that at least a statement has been released. The club states it is open and transparent, if so, more communications would be nice. Perhaps start by releasing the structure/names of the Board. Who is making the decisions? Many of us haven't got a clue. Have they officially been appointed or a collection of Jimmy's mates?
No response is required as I have expressed my view, just looking forward to forum getting back to normal.

Good communication is vital Greg & I thought Jason's interview was very informative & also covered all bases.

I also liked the player interviews, great experience for the young volunteers in the media team.

Particularly Carl Baker's interview & his comments about how the playing side of the club is set-up.

All good stuff.

As those nice American cousins of ours say: "Way to go, VoR". Once again you have either not read my post properly or not understood it before responding.

The thrust of it was that we have always been patient about infrastructure matters. In fact it hardly rated a mention on here because we are happy to deal with issues as and when they become necessary. It's you that has come battering in demanding that we should take action NOW, start planning NOW, have meetings NOW, talk to management NOW. Don't even dare to think of suggesting we should all be patient when you are clearly the most impatient poster on here!

Good Communications

By Unnamed Sauce17/10 12:23Sun Oct 17 12:23:41 2021In response to Re: Chairman interviewTop of thread

Is absolutely NOT reinforcing the same message(s) over and over and over and OVER again (see what I did there?) in a misguided attempt to batter those you (mistakenly) see as ill educated or opposed to your views, into submission.

( I base that observation on having a B.Phil (Hons) in Management and 25 years of practical experience in it).

Good communications is setting out your case coherently and succinctly. And then leaving it "on the table" so that those you are pitching it to have time to make measured consideration of it.

Good communications is definitely DEFINITELY not in repeating your proposals ad infinitum until your target audience is bewildered, annoyed, frustrated, angry and (inevitably) alienated. ( Or...I find myself wondering....is that really your objective?)

I have never in 38 years of working co-operatively with adults ever come across someone so obsessive, who says so much about so little in so many different ways so often.

"John" (!!) You need to do your oft-vaunted research a little better. Nuneaton Town/Boro fans have had to take extraordinary amounts of shite, over many decades of MISmanagement. They don't need constant hectoring, badgering and lecturing until they are drowning in pearls of wisdom. Understandably after years of broken promises under-achievement and disappointment, they tend to scoff about promises and react more positively to direct action.

They are excellent.

They help to give an insight into the players & their own personal ambitions & backgrounds & they are a good view.

Also great experience to be gained for the youngsters in the Boro TV media team.

Good stuff Jason.

Well done.

We had a number of shots in the first 25 minutes that went straight at the keeper & a few crosses into the box but nothing really threatening.

I thought it was a decent performance from the Boro against a team who had come for a point & tried to spoil the game in the first half.

It wasn't a classic by any means but the Boro did what they had to do...3 points in the bag!

We had more than one shot. I can remember two from Edmunds and a cross-shot, two headers from Tyler. We also had lots of space when we moved the ball around which we lacked the confidence to exploit. Hopefully a win will see improvements.

We played good football for first 20 minutes, created chances and shots. Then we relied on long balls from Brendon which usually lost posession. Boro left back was excellent and easily man of the match. I thought Edmunds should have been just as effective perhaps he lacks confidence. There were times when Edmunds easily got round their defence and delivered a dangerous shot or cross - he needs to do it more often. New centre half was dominant and appeared to make a big difference.

I think the problem with Ryan is that he has the ability & the talent but I assume that he has never had the opportunity of being at a professional club (like Tom Armitage at Burton Albion) & benefitted from full-time training & coaching.

I've noticed in games that both he & Carl Baker have played, that Carl is coaching him on the field during the game.

I think Ryan will get there...it's all about speed of thought.

I agree.

I think he is a right winger & probably doesn't enjoy being asked to play as a wing back. I don't think he wants the responsibility of a defensive role.

Also, I thought Gift Mussa had a poor game today. He was a star performer against Coalville...all action.

I don't know whether that's because he was playing alongside Cain Noble, who is a combative midfield player.

It's like when Ole picks Fred & McTominay in a holding role for United, they know what each others roles are & compliment one another.

Chris Clements is an attacking midfield player with a terrific shot on him & an eye for goal, so that should be a straightforward choice when he is matchfit.

Carl Baker is a straight replacement for Connor Shanks.

Playing Louis Baker up front today alongside Anthony Dwyer didn't work & is unfair on Louis.

Is Nathan Caine injured?

I thought Dwyer looked useful.

The back four looked solid today.

I think Clements will be a big asset when he is fully match fit, that's probabably 3/4 weeks away.

I would just like to see us pick a settled side now & let players start to gel over the next few games.

We have some good players.

It was one of those matches when reading Facebook posts on the phone was better than watching the (alleged) football.

Edit to add: not great football, but a great result!

Two very poor teams today ......

We got a result today that pleased the fans but come up against any half decent side and we're doomed. Not looking into the result today with any optimism

Thought the same, any forward line with any pace and our ageing back line will struggle

Not a bad interview but this bit

“I think two years ago people were saying we were winning games but not playing good football”

Really? We haven’t really won games in the last three/four years now.

Last time we won games for any sustained period was when Dino had us playing with our backs to the wall towards the end of the season . Last time with any sort of entertainment value other than winning was for a period when Wright arrived until it went wrong .

I enjoyed watching us under Dino to be honest. He got us playing to our strengths and the team worked really hard.

Stockport away was ace

Funny - same observation point; different opinion.
IMO he was far too defensive

Agreed BUT I do think it’s better than it was first season in this league.
The “get ball up front at every opportunity” has reduced massively.

That's because there no front to get it upto . It gets as far as the midfield they then pass it around for a bit or Daddy Baker dribbles it around for a bit while they wonder what on earth to do next until we lose possession .

Was Dino manager when we won 1-0 away at Spennymoor? Chambers scored I think.

Really enjoyed that day, reckon that was around March 2018?

Just googled it, and I was a month out. It was February 2018.

Cracking centre back pairing, albeit on loan. Kennedy Digie and Ryan Johnson. James Ferry on loan on midfield too.

Lyness
L.Wildin Johnson Digie Heaton
Elliott Beswick Ferry Green
Nti Chambers

Not a bad lineup

Compare that team with what we have now and we were absolutely flat broke . Where as we're currently rumoured to pay decent wages .
