A win is a win.
Deserved result (based on 2nd half)
Not sure if Breedon had to save anything; They had one chance 1st half.

Fortunate with 1st goal. OG has been a great signing.

New lad certainly needs someone along side him.

Thought Armitage was the pick of the day

Will take far more than one-swallow to change my mind on JG.

Really nice to see the players really celebrate both goals. They'd worked hard for them in a scrappy game.

Hardly any interviews when we lose - just send out the players or coaching staff! As soon as we win one he’s out their taking all the “plaudits”
Joke of a “manager”

I agree, but it's easier to sort out at home games.
Lots of updates today;

Lowestoft were poor so it was imperative we got the 3pts, fully deserved though, Boro dominated throughout and got the break eventually. It did take Lita to come on though and make his presence felt. As it did at Lichfield he does make a difference and if the club can climb away from the current predicament it is his experience that will be needed, I guess it`s just keeping the guy fit along with Carl Baker too. LB and Shanks both did ok but they need experience around them if they are to play week in week out.
On another note, Musa and Edmunds took some horrific abuse from the two centre half`s throughout periods of the first half, and Musa in particular seemed to suffer from it; I got the feeling there isn't much harmony in the camp !
Nice touch with the free pint thank you ..

Lita is our talisman on & off the pitch & his presence at the club is massive.

I read the Etone Academy promotion on Borochat recently & it mentions the support of a former Premier League player.

If he can only play for 20/30 minutes for me in a game, that is good enough for me...as you say, his presence/experience on the field is very valuable...

Lowestoft came for a point...a 0-0 draw & maybe snatch a late winner.

They were a big side, by comparison to the Boro.

After 25 minutes of the Boro knocking the ball around, without really threatening any danger, Lowestoft decided to stop the flow of the game & the 20 minutes up to half-time was dire, lots of time wasted thro' feigned injuries, players being booked etc. & the crowd got frustrated with the referee.

The second half was better & the Boro ended the game with a deserved win & Lowestoft got what they deserved...nothing.

I thought the Boro coped very well today & gained their reward in the last 20 minutes.

Tom Armitage was superb & was easily the Boro's Man of the Match.

Huffed and puffed for 70minutes very drab affair with little to shout about. The first goal was was very fortunate hitting the crossbar coming down onto the keepers back and going in.
I can’t remember a shot on target until dywer scored, Lowestoft were poor with TB just a spectator 99% of the game .
Daly impressed me defensively solid , front line needs badly strengthening. Dwyer looked decent but shanks/baker certainly doesn’t compliment him , shanks seemed out for himself Reluctant to pass . Both looked lightweight and didn’t provide any threat whatsoever
Looked better when lita came on giving us a bit of muscle upfront with Dwyer , no surprise when we scored the second worked instantly.
Overall 6/10 not impressed with some of the play , looked to lump it an aweful lot .
Happy with the points but the jury is out ….. attendance was terrible probably based on the football played right now .
Cue JGs interview the first one since Tamworth

1st goal was fortunate but we need a bit of luck, big frustration for me with the tactics JG employs that he just plays one upfront

Certainly feels better when we win . We were the better team and deserved the points . Whatever your opinion on the signing of Daly he made a really difference . The defense looked far tighter and that was mostly down to him constantly organising around himself . He was also our biggest attacking threat when going up for set pieces . Armitage also had his best game for many a week . Looked more like the player from pre season , probably down to being able to go forward with more freedom due to the defence being tighter behind him .

PHEW ............. a win is a win
many many tougher hurdles in terms of the opposition yet imo
had the rub of the green for once...... aka first goal.
dont think anyone is getting carried away
certainly not the 375 hardy souls. ( WELL DONE ALL )
lets take the positives while we can

IMO how we did or didn’t play is irrelevant at the moment.

We needed to stop the rut. We needed a win. Hopefully it starts a run.

In our position, 3 points matter more than performances

A decent win which was so badly needed. The question now is can they build on it and put a few together. 375 shows unless you have a decent team you won't get the people watching free beer or not.
