Tuesday- MUST WIN

By MJNB4/12/2021 19:02Sat Dec 4 19:02:01 2021

Get today out the way. Forget it. Coalville (as depressing as that is historically), Peterborough and Banbury will highly likely comfortably be the top 3 come the end of the season.

Tuesday is probably the most MUST WIN game of the season so far. No excuses for not beating St Ives (I doubt they have ‘2/3 times our budget’) at home. 55 conceded so far this season by them.

4 points (minimum) needed from back to back home games against St Ives and Royston (Royston are 8th but lose just as many as they win).

UTB.

Tuesday's game has now almost become a 'knock-out' game.

The two games against St Ives & the two games against Barwell will be crucial to our efforts to stave off relegation.

A St Ives team that beat a previously unbeaten Banbury today, doesn’t bode well

I actually think Boro' will stay up, and it will be presented as a success (as it would be at Barwell...... says everything).

I cannot see it being presented as a success.

Seems to be universally viewed as suboptimal at best.

Who you including in “universal” as I definitely don’t see it being universal including the management team and / or owner!

So I see, but regardless. We simply HAVE to win if we have any aspirations to stay up.

They are not seeing it as a success in any posts I have seen.
They know on the field is worse than expected.

Genuine question.
How are you able to be so specific about their views, have you actually asked the management of this then ?

A poor imitation.

I have seen interviews with the management, none of them have even hinted at this season being a success on the pitch. They spoke in pre season about play offs, and have not suggested that avoiding relegation would be seen as a success.
The post you replied to was about the "JG fan club", and I have not spoke to anyone, or seen posts from anyone, who could be classed as that as saying this season has been a success.
If you have spoken to the management and they have given you the impression that our league position is a success for them, I will stand corrected.

Maybe not a success, but Hinks consistently makes out we play well and are a good side.

I suggest he takes a look at the table as 20 games in would suggest we don’t and aren’t.

He does, but that isn't the issue, it is people thinking others will say not being relegated will be a success.
No one is going to say that based on statements at start of season.

I think him treating the fans like mugs is an issue personally.

Why can’t he admit we haven’t been good enough and it’s embarrassing rather than lying?

He’s either lying, or deluded.
