When was JG /SH last heard from?

Clearly has a lot to learn about boro “management teams move on” …. That’s ignoring “sorting tactics between the three of us” and “learn from JG and SH”

Sounds like he joined for same reason as Bradley!!!

So JG wanted 2 coaches …. But boro have such a small budget

One thing that stuck out - he seems to speak “unguarded” and therefore hopefully honestly.

I DEMAND THE HAIR STYLE RETURNS :)

Agree, but he is the solution what does that say about Bates (and the other 2)

The problem(s) remain; and will remain.

I honestly feel that at this level better training can only make a minor difference.
Most Boro players are "seasoned" and not going to change and team-work requires repetition.

What an important game Lowestoft is, given then next two are Banbury and Alvechurch.
Even the most optimistic could only see a maximum of 3 points and the realistic could see a return of zero.

Did you see the player' response to AD very late on in the game.....he told Breedon to go down injured.....he did, AD then demanded the attention from all other Boro players at pitchside....he got it.....an immediate audience as he went through a planned move on a visual board. First time i"ve seen that in a long time. Got to admire him. He says it as it is and as he see"s it.

Because when I watch the Boro, I watch through blue and white tinted glasses and want them to win.

Just like I used to love seeing Tony Simpson win penalties.

It's also think it's a good tactic to use during a game, until a ref picks up on it.

We are currently in a situation where we need to do all we can, within reason, to stay up.

So far, VERY early days, I like what I am seeing and hearing from AD.

All teams 'cheat' in some way or another.

spot on mark.
we all saw the opposition player take a dive in virtually their first attack
they tried it on several times saturday.
luckily for Boro the ref saw through them
also im surprised that nobody mentioned how good the ref was.
we've seen some comedians this season but he was good
i know its cheating but some of the duffers would have been conned for sure
you only have to watch the premiership to see that diving is becoming an art

I hope the biggest change is a reaction to something/someone new.

If players enjoy what he does that’s a big thing.

Change is good as a rest.

The problem is far deeper rooted.
Players come and go; Lavery, Belford and Bates have come and gone BUT two remain.

We looked more organised and solid as a unit . It's one thing to do that as a one off but we need to now repeat that match after match . We have is it 15 games left and we probably need to win 6 ( plus a few draws ) to stay up . Saturday we never looked like losing but we also never looked like winning . We need to not only be solid but find a way to win a few . The odds are we will still go down our position is difficult to say the least but maybe there's a glimmer of hope .

Bottom of league this season
Bottom of league based on combined last two seasons.
Pretty poor the season before.

His squad put together over the close season has all but gone which he promised play-off and SH talked about winning it.

What has he actually done? apart from constantly try and put right bad decisions he has made.

If we are relegated, will anything change ?
The obvious thing that could be done now would be for the present manager to quit and get a new manager in (whomsoever that may be) and let him plan for next season (wheresoever that may be).
This Model has comprehensively failed.

Keep throwing dice and hope something comes up; blame everyone/everybody but himself (and his side kick(.

Corporate full every game; 56 junior teams; more sponsors; first team bottom of league

If relegated this season JG will remain. Even he will surely put together (at worse) an okay team next season.

I suspect that means identifying players for specific positions/roles within a prefered system of playing...as opposed to a constant churn of players trying to randomly fit in to no particular system of play, with the make up of the team changing from game to game.

It will be interesting to see what particular system he favours?

Yep - agree

That’s sums up the club at the moment; or more the support.
AND I fully understand that.

Things are so bad that any break in the cloud is grabbed as a positive.

I liked what I heard from the coach but the two main culprits are still “.steering the ship”.
If he seen as the messiah what does that say about Bates?
A point against Rushall was good but clubs should expect to get points at home against anyone

Remember - he stepped down as assistant manager of a club in free fall that had just been beaten by a club that been in free fall for seasons.

If boro do stay up it will be more “despite of the manager and assistant” rather than due to the coach.

My hope is he brings the short term up lift.

I am not knocking the bloke.

If he is the reason things turn round then what that say for the management team.

What exactly do JG/SH do? I can understand hands-off at high levels but this is poor semi-pro level.

He may have all the qualifications (as does many at this level and above) but he still working at this level….. I await comment on a certain boro manager NOT having any qualifications

He may change things - but until JG gone it’s short term.
Should JG be worried - look what happened to Wilson when the owner brought in a new coach (happens elsewhere) :)
