given league positions a draw was good, and probably fair although their keeper not really tested.
Boro new Man City - playing at home with no strikers :(

Better than a loss . We need to beat the other sides around us as we pretty much still have them all to play .

Re: Full Time

it looked a big plus to me today easily deserved the point.
think we badly need a goal getter
dare i say it to partner Benbow ( if he can remain fit )
as stated elsewhere we need wins.
but not going to knock that today, a step in the right direction . . . . hopefully

if you criticize fairly thats ok by me.
ive seen some shite performances this season
today was not one of them so i called it as i saw it
we lacked bite up front for sure thought Bnbow did ok when he came on
but if we could just get a goal getter in + a midfielder
then things might improve week on week.
i thought we would lose today but i saw an improvement hand on heart it surprised me
maybe the guy from Tammy might prove to be a good acquisition
he might even take the leading role or the long term solution
as ever all will be revealed come next May.
happy days.

We have lacked goalscorers all season and is the biggest reason we are bottom, if you don’t score goals almost inevitably you end up conceding and loosing games, again yesterday Dwyer who has scored goals was almost playing in midfield at times whilst Perry who was never going to get anywhere near the ball unless it landed at his feet was played upfront, really don’t get what goes through JGs head to play that way.

JG believed that starting the season with Lita, Benbow and Shamsri was the way to get goals.
Says it all.
Yesterday - The new signing from Alvechurch looked lively, but what was his role within the team?
As we have seen for last 4 seasons its as it 11 lads turn up for a kick around. JG picks 11 and hopes something happens.

i agree.
so many bad decisions from Jimmy this season. even he himself must see that
thats why we are bottom the number of comings and goings are all you need to know
as i stated elsewhere maybe the new guy might take the upper/senior hand ( guessing )
not saying JG will be mothballed but even he must agree/accept he needs help NOW
IF we want to stop up we need 2 possibly 3 smart signings now.
obviously the new bloke must have contacts so the answers might lye there.

Yafi was excellent him and Dowd were the two bright spots, other than that no we were toothless upfront don’t think we even tested their keeper, Perry just stood still and unless ball came to him which it rarely did then contributed nothing, a few times Dowd had the ball and looked up just saw Perry in front of him and ended up passing sideways because he knew if he played it forwards Perry wasn’t going to run for it

Overall an improved performance . Defensively we looked solid despite no Daly . Midfield functioned ok . We never looked like scoring or winning but neither did they very even game , fair result . Dowd and Bilic look useful signings . Thought the central defensive pairing of Osborne & McManus did well . Perry is well Perry . New manager , sorry coach (: from Tamworth very prominent , never stopped shouting and coaching from the touchline for the entire ninety .

Not sure about the right back still making my mind up but i like Charles . He struggled a bit first couple of games but is now looking a good lad . Felt the defense as a whole worked well today . Rushall have been bang on form and scoring a lot of goals but we hardly gave them a sniff , couple of long range efforts but that was pretty much it .

Expectations at an all time low
Views: 781
The club clearly has no ambition and has adopted an 'it is what it is' attitude.
Perry played the first half and even stayed on the pitch for a further 30 minutes in the second half- why ?
Is the management hell-bent on getting us relegated?
Perry is unable to get any leverage off the ground and mobility hovers around 10%. It's no use blaming Kyle as he doesn't pick the team. We were effectively playing with 10 men for 75 minutes. Just not fair on the other players who have to make up the extra effort. As another poster alluded to, players bypassed Kyle as it was pointless involving him.
The only thing he managed to do was get booked for petty fouls and constant whinging.
It was as though we had been set up to grab a point as even Dwyer was playing so deep. Many seen delighted with a point but my expectations after 40 years following the Boro are somewhat higher.
With the high turnover of players it's a mystery why we have to play Perry, even the Messiah was marginally better.

Question I have is why are we playing an unfit Perry whilst Benbow sits on the bench week after week, is Benbow not fit ? If so why is he on the bench !!

Luke just appears to lack match fitness. If management wants a sympathy vote then they will have to communicate with the fans as our crystal balls are all steamed up in this frosty weather.
If we are going to recruit Tamworth personnel then let's go for Dean Cranney.

If Benbow can’t get himself fit we shouldn’t pay him, if we are in for another Tamworth player hope it’s either Forde or Creaney

It is Creaney i believe. However he was sent off today so may as well wait for him to serve his 3 match ban and give Benbow a try cant be any less mobile then Perry.
