It needs a balance between investors 40% and Co-op 60%. I think that’s the setup at Chesterfield.

They actually have very little time . They will only have until the end of March i believe to apply to join the pyramid for next season and have everything in place to satisfy the FA . If they want to have the club playing again for next season then time is something they don't have much of .

Yes I understand that and likely to be step 7.
But such indecent haste before even genuinely going into liquidation is not going to look good to creditors or the FA.
Unfortunately they were bounced into this by JG. I doubt it’s what they wanted to happen

How bounced ?
I am am well out of date with developments, but does seem very quick and given those involved with Boro Leisure are involved it does not fit well. At least with the formation of Boro Leisure it seemed to be done (on the face of it) properly. .........StadiaSafe was liquidated; IN applied to administrators to buy assets; sale complete.

Because he revealed it on cwr.
Surely the logic would have been to let this week’s sad news sink in and then make a separate announcement a couple of weeks later.

This don't sit right with me, barely the coffin has been nailed down and already these 2 investors has already started to process of a phoenix club without 1. Letting the dust settle and 2. sitting down with us fans and hearing what we want 1st, after all it's us that have to suffer for irresponsible owners actions.
I fear is not only JG somehow resurrecting his past role we should be worried about but if us fans don't like the idea of these 2 individual's or allowed a majority voice of some sort then these 2 individual's could steam roll ahead with the like it or lump it attitude.

I read it loud and clear.
I also read that they have started the process of a phoenix club which was what I was referring too of my concern's.
Jumping the gun springs to mind.
Forgive me for not having much trust in potential owners/business people at present.

Granted but some of us are bored by boom- bust, boom-bust, boom - bust.
But don’t worry because there are new “successful” businessmen ready to take us to the promised land with fan ownership made up of supporters who have slagged each other off for decades and who couldn’t agree on what’s ever been best for the club.
Oh and plenty of so called Boro supporters who stood and watched one individual comprehensively increase the debt whilst achieving nothing in the pitch and all at the expense of paying the rent.
Not to mention slagging supporters off on social media who dared criticise his a management and grossly inflating his achievements and crowds.
All those happy for the next game of Boro snakes and ladders- then fair play to you but perhaps get yourself down to corals and see what odds you can get for Boro going bust again in 20 years time.

Cynicism
Views: 751
Isn't it understandable people are cynical. Football clubs are littered with failure and bad owners. How many have boro had over the last 50 (or even 30) years?
Actions should speak louder than words
I can recall (and evidence still on Boro Chat)
DA Capital
Due to being mentioned at Reading, one Twitter post and chosen by the club as best option they were going to get Boro to National (at least) then sell for a profit.
Where as others were cynical having looked deeper.
Jimmy Ginnelly
Was the saviour; going to lead boro back to where it belongs; only players who want to play for the club;
Left with no ground and further £200,000 debt.
Not so much cynicism here, but concerns.
Nick Hawkins
Remember his speeches and laps of honours to be praised?
The love and kisses continued after he left.
Where as other were cynical having looked deeper.
Smurf
Thanks by many for saving the club and Conf-National was on the horizon.
Where as others looked deeper, discovered the big issue and found ulterior motives.
Thorn
Not much praise
Cynicism in the form of "guilty by association"

We are getting the usual drivel on this forum by people who have nothing better to occupy their minds. How can people who say they want to invest in a new club be up to mischief. Does anyone on this forum know who they are, because it is difficult to judge people if you don’t. Until they lay out their plans at a promised fan’s forum none of us are in a position to judge. Just because we have had bad owners before it does not mean that these people are of the same ilk.Ian Cook who most have praised seems to trust them. People are too quick to criticise things they know nothing about for the sake of it. The new club might not be for me but I will judge when I know what the proposals are not before.

My own stance on a phoenix club has mellowed a bit on my original that's me done attitude it's now a wait and see thing .
If these individuals have managed to clear the club out of people who were running it into the ground and can give us a fresh debt free start , even if a bit lower down the pyramid , is that a bad thing ? The ground situation is the biggest hurdle but there aware of this and must have a plan .

Yes, it is only the clearing out of the First Team, the rest of the Club remains intact.
Dan has confirmed on here this morning the intention to hand over the CIC.
Edit:
I still think the FA's Club Structure Option 5, a Registered Society (a Community led organisation) is worth considering.
Scarborough Athletic are run as a Registered Society.
Scarborough Athletic FC Society Limited.
