alternatives?

not gonna lie i came away a little deflated last night , Holliday presented pretty well .....
however a lot of the questioning of him wasn't really answered , all a bit wishy washy replies ....
my comment of why should we share our club with you was greeted by we are happy to walk away if we are not wanted, rather than a good reason
the only definites we heard was they are definitely starting a team next season kit , manager and ground....ploughing on regardless
the vocal and on facebook here said nothing and the room seem to accept this as a given , all pretty depressing ...reading the room i guess the majority just want a team to support next season and will take whatever is delivered to them by whoever
i spoke to holliday , KS and grimsey personally after , all were very pleasant as expected and all are saying the right things .MG and KS i trust implicitly and only want the best for the supporters and the club . GH i guess i will judge on what happens going forward and will with an open mind
a few things i don't doubt is their level of investment , ability to grow and business acumen . one thing i do know the numbers are eye watering ... ben raising an excellent point of legacy issues.
i think they got the message that the supporters want representation upon the board , i hope they execute this and simply not pay lip service it...something i was reassured personally that this would happen
one thing is frustrating me is the rumoured local alternative isn't being presented to the fan base , its time guys or forever hold your peace ....

What would have been a good reason to share "our" club?

What would be interesting to know is the early thoughts of the 'strong group of 40 sponsors' that JG referred to recently?
If they all intend to back the new Boro, that would be a major plus for the new owners.

As far as I know, it's precisely that - a rumour. I am not personally aware of any other phoenix club that has the wheels in motion. Does anyone know different?

it was mentioned to me last night , by none of the above ...but didn't pursue it further due to the nature of what is happening right now
i will speak to that person again in the near future though .... time for the movers and shakers to put up or shut up IMO

Fair comment I think. It's not enough to complain do something about it.
I'm interested that you say you don't doubt H&H level if investment. What's this based on? So far they think they've acquired a Club for free.

I would question "acquired the club" statement.
Highjacked the club more like. Anyone could start a new club in the area and have as much right to be "the boro" as H&H do.

Well I agree with that but they say they have badge, Secretary and manager.
In addition they are using official Club social media which may interest HMRC.
But my main point was its cost them nothing so I’d be grateful if anyone could point to proof of funds for investment. We went down this road before with DA Capital.
If Nuneaton sponsors want to set up a local run club as an alternative what’s to stop them?

As Andy said on Monday "No one holds the golden ticket". IIRC the one who might is Boro Leisure!!!!!!!
